a project of photography, sound and poetry  - back to OVERVIEW

In this project I want to follow in the footsteps of famous writers and poets with the aim to reinterpret and investigate the landscape, the people and contemporean poets living there who create new poetry and art, with my subjective photography, video, sound and poetry. I want to reflect the role of poets and artists to the societal discussion and view on nature, environment and in modern times to "sustainability"

interpreting the poetry of well known poets about their journeys and landscapes  and link them to contemporary poetry in the same region - What does earth give to poetry, and what does the poet give to earth?

Interpreting the poetry of well known poets as Pablo Neruda with his "Canto General", Rilke never ending journeys through Europe, Jack Kerouak with "On the Road", Heinrich Heines "Harz Journey"  on foot with my camera and my subjective view on the landscape and people which have given birth to this poetry.

In the same way I want to enter into conversation with contemporary poets and portray them with photo and video to introduce the poetry in their region and explore their view on the "earth".

I plan to have the interviews, fotos, texts published on my website, social media, a YouTube channel. On the long run I  am planning to publish a book.

Here some info  for the artist / poet- what I more practically want to do.

In this project I want to follow in the footsteps of famous writers and poets with the aim to reinterpret and investigate the landscape, the people who created this poetry, with photography, video, sound and poetry.

In the same way I want to enter into conversation with contemporary poets of the same region and portray them with photo and video to introduce the poetry in their region.

This is what I intend to do with those regional poets:

• Identifying artists/ poets which relate to the regional project (see ideas in list below)
• Get into contact by email / phone
• conversation / get to know his/her poetry / art etc. / the idea of my project
• preliminary talk about the planned recordings - video + portrait
• Video interview on topics as background and work of the artist, on art / poetry and earth, on current projects
• recordings in a bright place (because I have no lighting and only a reflector in my luggage), which the poet / poetess / artist selects and has a nice / neutral background.
•  Recordings with different settings - changing the position of the camera / overview recordings with a second camera /
•  Video recordings of "the poet's / artist's" region (sea, landscape, house...), which are part of his poetry - according to their specifications.
• Video recordings of detailed things to do with poetry (writing, book, laptop, screen, ....)
• Portrait of the poet / artists - while thinking, writing, looking, walking, painting ...etc.
• preparing , selecting, cutting the material (fotos, video, texts, art) jointly and with consentment of the artist / poet
• publishing on my website, Youtube Channel
